How to customise deliverable types

A Deliverable is a subset of a job and is an item that can be completed as part of the job. Examples are Income Tax Returns, Activity Statements, Financial Statements. Each of these deliverables can be completed separately from the Tasks associated with the Job.

Deliverable Types would be established here for individual parts of the Job, not items which are specific to a client or a client group. Each Deliverable Type can have a default name and a default Task Template Group. You can signify whether the Deliverable is associated with a lodgement (the lodgement system is coming soon).

Deliverables are optional on a Job, which could just have tasks associated with it.

A Job could be for a client group and in which case the Deliverable would be used for each individual entity within the group in a structure such as this:

Job

  • Smith Group

Deliverable

  • Smith Company - Financial Statements
  • Smith Company - Income Tax Return
  • Smith Trust - Financial Statements
  • Smith Trust - Income Tax Return
